Behind the design
When researching Japanese art, Megan came across several images of geishas with animals and she loved one in particular who was seemingly tripping over a cat. She redrew the Japanese woman wearing a checkered kimono, dancing with the cat.
The geisha and cat print has been layered over a digital rendition of our westwood fabric, creating a rich and eclectic blend of checkered patterns.
