Product Details
The old roses felt balmoral cardi is a polished layer of warmth named after the kind of cardigan Queen Elizabeth would sport. Featuring an original Megan Salmon print, with two large safety pin fastenings, this straight, boxy silhouette is crafted from a soft, warm felted wool, pairing perfectly with dresses, skirts, or trousers.
With a soft, natural fibre like wool comes a little responsibility. Pilling is part of the story — small, soft knots that form with wear, not a sign of poor quality, but quite the opposite. It's the mark of a fibre that's real, alive, and worthy of a little care. A gentle hand, a soft brush, a bit of patience — these are the small rituals that keep a beautiful thing beautiful.
This may not be for you if you're after a fabric you can simply wash and wear without a second thought. But if you love things with history, things that ask a little of you in return for the warmth and beauty they give back — this is exactly for you.

Style & Design
behind the design
Megan wanted to print glorious big vintage roses on a black background. She wanted them to be softly muted in colour as if time had worn them down. This is where Megan's love of history and all things used and loved comes to the fore. Take a bit of this romance for yourselves as you wear these lovely old roses.
