Behind the design

This is made from a poly viscose blend kind of linen type, gabardine type fabric. It is a princess line straight coat, very much like our noble coat but with princess line seams, so seams go straight through the body and it's very flattering.

It has seven self-covered buttons down the centre front and it has this wonderful applique feature on the front panels. The coat is taupe in colour but the applique is dark green and navy and it is a leaves and a flower motif in a  Mary Quant kind of style. The coat has long sleeves and three self-covered buttons at the sleeve hem and it has side pockets invisibly  in the side seams.

The coat is lined with acetate and is made beautifully. It falls really straight and smartly over the body. This is definitely a statement coat, one that looks great worn closed like a dress with tights or leggings or if you wore it over something plain and dark it would be great worn open as well.
