Gisette is a collection that is all about the far East meeting the West. The impact that art and textiles from Japan had on the arts movement of the 19th Century.
In 19th Century France, Gisette was a gallerist and curator who developed an extensive collection of fine crafts and quality artifacts from Japan. In a time of France being overwhelmed by industrialism and mass production her love of these precious objects was admired and sought after.

She would integrate these objects into interiors with strategic placement which gave rooms a new look when usually items like this were stored in stuffy museum like cabinetry. She was part of an extensive wave of seeing the exotic in new ways that inspired artists including Monet, Klimtand Whistler.
In an Homage to Gisette, Megan has taken inspiration from the exotic East. The collection begins with fabulous prints inspired by kimonos and artworks featuring Geishas, birds and flowers. Along side this treasure trove of textures and patterns is a wonderful rich palette of colour used in wools, linens, corduroys and knits. Her intention is to create a world of exotic choices in shapes and textures that decorate us and enhance our desires to transform.
