Behind the design
The Eden constance dress is made from a twill rayon which has a slightly satin lustre and drapes beautifully. It has a high neck grandpa collar and buttons through the centre front to the hemline so you can also wear this dress open as dress coat. It has a high waist and a loose fit bodice from which an a-lined skirt that finishes with a bell hemline cascades. The dress has front angled welt pockets and full gathered sleeves that come from a straight cap beginning. This sleeve design is particularly flattering as the top of the arm is kept small by the fitted cap sleeve section. The sleeve is bracelet length which is very feminine and also functional keeping it out of your work.
Eden
Reconstructing old fragments of chintz fabric has become a love of Megan's. She cleverly takes historical imagery of flowers and leaves and creates a new print retaining the antiquated qualities of the textile. She has produced a garden of Eden.
